With its regenerative and firming properties, black currant seed oil is known to be a skin nourishing oil that may help combat wrinkles and dehydration. Black currant seed oil is believed to be very rich in antioxidants and gamma-linolenic acid, which makes it a highly effective smoothing agent. It is most effective when added to a blend in small percentages.
Black currant seed oil may increase elasticity in the skin, and is often used to protect and nourish skin tissues for chronic skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema. In DIY recipes, it can give restructuring properties to nutritive night creams and lotions. Black currant seed oil can also be added to skin preparations and cosmetics such as face creams, moisturizers and body lotions. It is often combined with Vitamin E to prevent oxidation.

- Recommended Uses
Black currant seed oil may be combined with Vitamin E in facial lotions, night creams, moisturizers, body lotions, massage blends, anti-aging serums or facials oils. Also may also be effective for eczema, wrinkles, dry skin, dandruff or psoriasis.
- Shelf Life & Storage
Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions. It is recommended that cold pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using. Keep oxygen out of the bottle and rebottle into smaller sizes as oil is used.
