Handmade Gifts: How to Make a Body Scrub

Handmade Gifts: How to Make a Body Scrub

Nothing is nicer on a cold, winter morning (when one must get out of bed - staying in bed is nicer, of course!) than a steaming hot shower with your favourite skincare products. This simple scrub is sure to please, with gently buffing sugar, moisturizing oils and most importantly, your favourite scent! Package in a nice jar with some fabric and a ribbon and you've got a heartfelt gift for almost anyone on your list!

A Note On Ingredients...

Any carrier oils will work in this recipe - use what you have on hand, or choose according to price or preference. Sweet almond oil, jojoba, coconut, our massage oil blend... even olive oil will work if that's what you've got!
The sky's the limit when it comes to essential oils for this recipe! It all depends on the type of scrub you want and what your loved one likes. Citrus oils are uplifting; mints invigorating and energizing; anise and fennel are a great way to start the day; oils like coffee, cocoa, vanilla or benzoin are always delicious; and florals like lavender, jasmine, rose, ylang ylang or geranium are classic and sensual. Or, use a favourite synergy blend like Secret Garden, Walkin' on Sunshine, Pick Me Up, Water or Zen Lotus!
